Dont Forget

All the People Who Had come out on the streets, in june , july and august for the movement against corruption did so , not because arivind kejriwal, kiran bedi or anna hazare were heading the movement. most of them Didn't even know who they were. most of them were the ones who said , dude i am not into politics, but i would still want to show solidarity to the people protesting against corruption for better laws to curb it, coz i feel personally inclined to do so.
just because , there are no speeches, no ramlila maidan gatherings, no fasts, no rallies, doesnt mean we forget the spirit and essence of why we got onto the streets in the first place. Its because we need to eradicate corruption to a level that it wouldnt affect the common man no more, wouldnt affect economy, improve education and health care, increase salaries for the already employed, create jobs based on merit and not nepotism. Where is the spirit gone. Is it still there? i am sure it is. we should keep reminding ourselves that to fight corruption we need to fight ourselves. Standing in a queue to get movie tickets for eg. you dont let in your friends who come late into the middle of the line, just so that they can get to watch the show with you. thats plainly unjust to the people standing behind waiting for a long time to get tickets. its natural instinct to be corrupt and make others corrupted. we from times immemorial, the youth of the world try hard to bring changes into a system which is flawed. it shall remain to be flawed unless, we eliminate our's. what did people for eg. one of the most Emotional, Culturally great gathering of the 1969 woodstock rock festival... we usually associate it with rebellion, anti-govt. anti war sentiments, drugs, carefree life, (ofcourse music).. the one thing which made this gathering of half a million people great (50,000 was the limit for the 3 day fest) is that people shared resources in adversity for a common cause. poor sanitation, poor food and water arrangements, and absolutely no security at all... The event happened with no major screw ups... i don't know where i am getting at this , but try to get my point of view. when u fight for something you believe is right, you start a fight for many more who believe in the same thing. be brave, take initiative. Lets Liberate ourselves, and be true to one of the greatest lines from the poem which is close to my heart( by the way listen to the song of the same in the new dewarists) MINDS WITHOUT FEAR. thats when we have freedom... freedom from corruption even...
